The Disneyland Christmas Tree

Image
But first...yesterday I forgot to show you that some benches had been set up facing the train station. My guess is that they are for the candlelight service. Let's examine some of the ornaments on the tree, shall we? The gingerbread cookie looks good enough to eat but not the Nutcracker. I've tried them before - too chewy. So many pretty ornaments. I wish I could have taken more photos but being height challenged presents its limitations, LOL. I love me some Disneyland at Christmas time! Fell in love with this. I want one of these in my living room. Full size, of course. So what if it takes up the entire room. Ah, there she is....I'm talking about the castle. Someday I hope to be able to shoot this in the early morning light. I mean REALLY early morning light. Like before the Park opens early morning light. Love the flowers. I love all the little touches in the Park. "Greetings from the Matterhorn" And now let's head to Fro

I got my Disneyland fix!

Image
Yes, I did. I went to the Park on Sunday afternoon. I really didn't want to go but I knew that all of you would be whining if I didn't so... It's your fault! Ha! These next three shots show the current "billboards" by the tram loading area. While waiting for the tram, I noticed that Yoda was in line. Finally, I'm in the Park! I paused for a spell, just to take it all in... And that's it. OK, I lied. I took too many pictures so I have to break this up into a series of posts. Ha! One more thing: My friend shared this Christmas comedy recording with me and it cracked me up. Hope you like it.

Disneyland Quick Shots

What? Where? Here! Or rather...you'll have to scroll down a bit. I went to the Park yesterday and posted a few shots via email. A full report will be up tomorrow!

Wow!

Have a laugh.

A friend sent this to me and I started laughing so hard that I almost spit out my coffee. Nice visual, huh?  LOL. Don't know if you'll find it as funny as I did but I hope you do.

Christmas at Knott's

Here's a little bit of Knott's for ya.

Happy Thanksgiving!

To all of you that take time out of your day to pop by and read this blog, I thank you. I hope you have a GREAT Thanksgiving Day.

Had to share, LOL!

What's Happening at Disneyland this Week

I thought I'd share a link to The Disneyland Gazette podcast today because it has tons of pictures showing our favorite Park decorated for the holidays. Gorgeous! Once you go to the link below, you can "download just this file" and then watch the podcast on your computer. Enjoy !!

Watch those feathers!

An owl coming in for the  kill - right at the camera.  Only a minute long and the last two or three seconds are amazing watching the feathers ruffle and the wings swell. Loved it. This is taken at 1000 frames per second and is awesome! Click on this link !!

Cool cakes and more

Who doesn't love a Disney themed party??? Only Klingons, that's who! That's why I don't invite them to any of my parties. I thought you might enjoy looking at the cool decorations that I saw a while back at the D23 Expo.  These displays were sponsored by a company called Cakes.com. Yup, here's the link .

Greetings!

As I write this, I am taking a short break, sipping on some coffee with the TV on for background noise. I must admit, I love having the TV on QVC...I never know what wonderful item might catch my fancy! My current roommate has made a full recovery from her heart surgery and if you didn't know her you would swear that she has never been sick a day in her life! Another very good friend of mine had surgery the other day - I took her to the hospital and stayed until she was out of surgery and then we went home. Of course, I spent the night and then have been popping by to check on her. Her arm will be in a cast for six weeks so I will continue to check in on her but I do plan to make a quick Disneyland run before Thanksgiving. Yes, I will brave the crowds because #1 I need my fix and #2 I need some new photos, right? Say yes, people! Sent from my awesome iPhone! 

I don't know about you but I dig stuff like this. (Will update you on my goings on soon...)

Cool boxes for sale at the post office!

Aren't they neato? Makes me want to ship something.

Where have I been?

Well.... I've been running around not doing much and yet, doing a lot. It sounds strange, I know. I apologize for not posting. I actually miss posting! To be honest, I've just been running back and forth helping a friend go through a rough patch. Oh and guess what? I'm moving again. Yes, again. Actually, it's a good thing. My friend, Linda is having surgery and will need help so I am moving in with her for a spell. But somewhere during all of this I need to find some Disneyland time!!! Besides, I need to finish my walk around DCA, right?

Disneyland Hotel Waterfalls

Image
I guess you could say that I'm feeling nostalgic. I am giving each one of you permissiion to bop me on the head for not taking video when I did my waterfall photo report. What a knucklehead!!! Oh well...at least we can look at these videos I found on YouTube. Thanks to all who did the filming. You'll never know just how much I appreciate it. For those of you who are new to this blog, you can see my previous posts here and here .

This place is just so darn gorgeous. I always enjoy walking around there and I thought you might like to see it through someone else's eyes.

Walk AROUND DCA Part 3

Image
You can see the curve "in the road" as I am walking along West Street down towards Katella. Getting tired of looking at trees? Sorry, there's plenty more of them! Ah, I've spotted an opening in the foliage! I've reached the corner of West and Katella and find this interesting plaque? Marker? Sign? Whatever... Now, I've made a left turn on Katella! You can see a glimpse of the track from California Screamin' from this vantage point. And that's it, I'm tired! Oh stop your blubbering, I've got more pictures to share - just not right now!

Walking AROUND DCA Part 2

Image
As you can see from this photo, I did my walk around DCA while I was headed to the D23 Expo. Hey, I killed two birds with one stone. And it was messy. DCA is still to my left and the majority of this walk covers the backstage area. Or rather, what we are allowed to see of the backstage area. Here's another D23 banner. Signs for pedestrian who get lost. Oooh, a gate! Yes, I walked up to the gate! I continued walking along West Street and noticed that the sidewalk winds around some trees. OK, let's wind! Not much to see except plants, plant and MORE plants... I know the excitement is too much for you so we will continue tomorrow...but in the meantime, Tweet this to your friends!
