I grew up ini Los Angeles. Yup, native born and raised :-) As a kid, I used to play in the Los Angeles river and we drove along the river many, many times on our way to various places. I remember seeing some Disney characters painted on the walls of the river and guess what? I've found something on YouTube that shows you an example! FYI:  I am moving this weekend so I apologize for the lack of posts.

Have I already posted this???? Good grief, my memory is going!

WARNING! Go to the bathroom before reading this post - it's a long one!! Last Saturday, my friends from Florida as well as my sister and brother-in-law decided to get in touch with our inner Tiki and met for dinner at Bahooka . This place is so cool. I have to say that the food was nothing special - adequate at best but that's not why you go to Bahooka. You go there to be totally immersed in the Tiki experience. I will apologize ahead of time for the quality of some of these photos but I included them so that you could get an idea of how great this place is. There are aquariums EVERYWHERE and that really adds to the atmosphere. As we were being led to our table (which was in a jail cell) we walked by Captain Jack! Here is a shot of the menu. My pulled pork sandwich. I know somebody out there didn't go to the bathroom like they were supposed to! You better go now. I love what they did with these antique gas pumps! I think there were four of five of them.

Today we finish watching the parade, LOL. Tarzan is represented by some great dancers. These guys were very entertaining! Simba shows up, still rocking the same pose he's had for several years, LOL. I love these little details. And now it's time for Princess and the Frog. Oh, how I loved this movie! Look at this FABULOUS costume! Here's Tiana! Her float is BIG...and beautiful! Here's Louis, dancing away... He's so cute! Here's a little more detail on the float... I would have taken more photos but I was busy dancing, LOL. Next up, characters from Peter Pan... Pretty little...butterfly?? We've reached the end of the parade...Mary Poppins brings up the rear. Enjoy the video!

We are continuing our look at SoundSational...Here come the Princesses! Who else would wear such poofy dresses? Not me! Here we see Snow White and Princess Aurora doing the wave... The Tangled float was bigger than I expected. Cinderella brings up the rear of the float. Hmmm...now Belle and Cinderella are doing the wave...must be a new dance I don't know about.
